     But I just bit on my lip and my face began to frown Cos that was just my pride and I've nothing else to hide ~ key to my life, boyzone ~ Miles Jeremiah Morrison was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland and he lived there until he was ten years old. His father was Scottish and his mother American but had become a British citizen about seven years before Miles was born. Miles's father was a kind-hearted man with generally a typical cheeky Scottish sense of humour, however found himself diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder after a period of ongoing depression. Despite the fact he had previous suicidal ideation, when he actually completed by overdose one night, no one really saw it coming because he had been treated. Miles was an only child at the time but his mum and dad had been trying for a second baby when he had suicided. Sadly, making the situation even more tragic, Miles mum discovered she was pregnant with their second child. Not knowing how to handle raising two children, one being a newborn, she moved back to America to be closer to her family in Princeton, New Jersey. Miles baby brother, Louis, was born shortly after they settled in America. Life wasn't easy. Miles' mum suffered a lot of grief, but she was a trooper raising her boys, who she absolutely adored. With her parents, her two sisters, and her brother close by to help, the boys grew up with a strong family support network. Though, Miles always missed his dad, who had been a surgical theatre nurse before he had gone off on long-term sick leave due to his mental illness. When Miles told his mum he wanted to be a nurse like his dad, she did everything in her power to ensure he had what he needed to succeed. Now, Miles lives in New York City, and is now a Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care Nursing, working at Mount Sinai Hospital. He has grown up a lot like his dad; kind-hearted with a cheeky sense of humour and a bright outlook on life. He has feared time to time that he may be at risk of developing a mental illness like his father, though he is careful to understand the signs. It was his understanding and compassion that had him connecting with Liam Morgan, understanding his fight with PTSD and depression. After a sweet friendship, they decided to start dating, though Liam was honest that he had come out of a long-term relationship a few months earlier and had challenges with ongoing traumatic response to sexual relations. It didn't matter to Miles, though he had always been an affectionate guy and wanted to help where he could. Miles closest friends are fellow nurse, Jesse Hartley, who introduced him to Liam when he first started his job at Mount Sinai, Richie Jameson, who started work at the hospital in the same intake round as Miles, and Rhys Meyer, probably the closest thing Miles has to a BFF in New York away from Princeton and Scotland.
